OGPP aims to make its websites, digital content and services usable by people with diverse abilities, technologies and circumstances. This statement describes our direction and feedback process; it is not a claim of certified conformance.

1. Accessibility objective

OGPP's target is to design and improve public digital experiences with reference to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 Level AA and applicable Canadian accessibility requirements. This is a target, not a certification or claim that every page currently conforms.

2. Measures

  • Use semantic headings, meaningful link text, keyboard-accessible controls and visible focus indicators.
  • Provide text alternatives for informative images and captions or transcripts for important video and audio.
  • Maintain readable contrast, scalable text and layouts that work across common devices and assistive technologies.
  • Include accessibility checks in design, procurement, content review and release processes.
  • Train relevant personnel and address prioritized issues through a documented remediation process.

3. Known limitations

Third-party widgets, legacy documents, complex charts, archived media and automatically generated content may have limitations. If you encounter a barrier, contact us so we can offer an accessible alternative and prioritize a remedy.
